Because Search Marketing has evolved a lot over the years, there are a lot of old best practices that many business owners think are still relevant. This is one of them: SEO is a one time task that you set up and forget.
This is no longer the case mostly because Google (and other search engines) have gotten more advanced in how they understand high quality content on the internet.
At the end of the day, I think this is good news for those of us who are creating amazing content online since it benefits us to have a living and breathing SEO strategy.
