keywords for your website

But before we dive in I want to say the following: Search Engine Optimization is not just about slapping on keywords on a page and forgetting about it. It is so much more. It is a process that takes some thought process and creativity to make sure it is working right for your website.

I also recommend choosing 1 - 2 keywords to focus on per page. Depending your SEO strategy, you can later choose to add more keywords but start keep it simple.

You can also listen to the podcast episode with each step here:

Ready? Let’s do this!

Here are all the areas you can add keywords to your website:

  1. URL

  2. Title

  3. Meta Description

  4. Headings

  5. Body of Content

  6. Images

If you are looking to add keywords to an old blog post, I recommend opening a new Google document, copy/pasting the old blog post there and rewriting it from there before updating the actual site. This way you won’t get distracted by other site things (ahh! That opt-in is old or I want to update that image of me).

Happy keyword adding! Once you are done adding your keywords, share your progress in the comments below so I can check it out 👇👇👇
