Here are some areas of your Search Marketing you can action if you aren’t technical and you are wanting to attract some initial traffic to your website.
Content - write a useful blog post on your website that you know your ideal client would find valuable. Don’t worry about keywords, especially if you find the thought of learning how to research keywords stressful. This is all about writing information that your ideal client is already searching and if you are in tune with your audience, you’ll have some ideas of what they might be searching for. You can also re-use content from your other marketing platforms, like social media or emails. This is an easy way to get started without getting too hung up on unique blog content.
Easy to use website experience - I see so many of my clients trying to create a unique website experience that just confuses and turns off their website visitors. The recommendation here is to work with a Web Designer or to use a pre-made template that has good SEO principles already embedded. Don’t try and re-invent the wheel when it comes to your website - give your visitors exactly what they are expecting and they’ll appreciate the content on your website so much more (and end up buying from you too!)
Outreach - this gets often overlooked but I believe it to be a part of Search Marketing since attracting genuine and quality backlinks enhances how your website grows. This means pitching other businesses to collaborate and naturally inviting them to backlink to your website. This can be a guest post, podcast episodes, or anything else that generated a quality backlink.
