SEO Check-in with Woash Wellness Case Study
I love sharing Woash’s SEO journey! I’ve brought Cassy (Woash’s founder) on the podcast before (look at episodes linked below) and I’m so proud of all the progress that’s been made with her Search Marketing.
I hope you find the SEO case study as inspiring and exciting as I do and it gives you that extra push to get started with your own Search Marketing.

Here is the SEO traffic growth in Google Analytics from May 2019 to Feb 2022
In the last 3-months, 50% of revenue producing traffic has come from organic search traffic and 80% of website traffic overall to the website.
SEO traffic in the Search console from Oct 2020 to Feb 2022
In the last 3-months, clicks have increased by 61%
And impressions have increased by 38%
Like I mentioned, the journey with Woash has been from the beginning of their website launched. We started working together in May 2019, initially doing a technical audit, which is where most of our clients start. Then in September 2019, we started with the Implementation phase of AIM, taking all the results of what we learned from the audit and started to make changes to the website. Our work continued from February 2020 to July 2020 with an SEO retainer. You can hear more about the results from that phase of work together in this SEO case study: SEO Case Study with Woash / ep139.
It’s amazing to see that many of the original keywords we focused on during that time are the same ones that are bringing in traffic and sales today. Again, having a strong SEO strategy from the beginning can make a big difference.
Key Insights
I’ve already talked about this but building foundational SEO content from the beginning that are aligned with your content, brand, and keywords can continue to serve you years after you hit publish. Truly exciting!
Part of the SEO process is to step out of your comfort zone when it comes to keywords and content. We like to push our clients to target keywords and content on topics they wouldn’t normally target.
Experimentation and testing is important. In the case of Woash, there was a lot of back and forth with different website elements, including the top navigation and different parts of the blog. There are SEO guidelines but a lot of SEO work is a “it depends” sort of thing. It’s okay to dialogue and try out new things (and also switch things up if they aren’t working) .
